Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions patients ask most often — appointments, insurance, hours, after-hours care, and how to reach us.
Appointments & Scheduling
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Most of our nurse practitioners and physician assistants are accepting new patients. Some providers — including Dr. Robert Wilson, Dr. David Johnson, and Christa Blane, FNP-BC — currently have a waitlist. Visit the Providers page to see current availability for each provider.
How do I schedule an appointment?
New and existing patients can schedule online through the Schedule page, or call any of our three clinics during business hours: Sango (931) 245-1150, Hilldale (931) 647-6305, or Dover (931) 232-5555.
Where are your clinics located?
We have three clinics in Tennessee. Sango is at 1000 Highway 76W, Clarksville. Hilldale is at 236 Uffelman Drive, Clarksville. Dover is at 1511 Donelson Pkwy, Dover. See the Locations page for hours, directions, and contact information.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, closed noon to 1 PM for lunch. Dover opens at 7 AM on Tuesday and Wednesday. Closed weekends. See the Locations page for current hours at each clinic.
Insurance & Payment
What insurance do you accept?

Do you accept Medicare?

Do you accept TennCare or Medicaid?
Yes. We accept TennCare and most Medicaid plans. See the Insurance page for specifics.
What We Treat
What ages do you treat?
Family medicine — every age, from newborns to seniors, under one roof. See our Primary Care service page for the full scope of what we treat.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Our Pediatric Wellness service includes well-baby and well-child visits, immunizations, school and sport physicals, and care for everyday childhood illnesses.
Do you do annual physicals and preventive care?
Yes. Annual physicals, immunizations, screenings, women’s wellness visits, and school and sport physicals are part of our Preventive Care service.
Do you do DOT physicals?
Yes. We provide DOT (Department of Transportation) physical exams for commercial drivers at our Clarksville and Dover clinics. See the DOT Physicals service page for details.
Do you manage chronic conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure?
Yes. Chronic Disease Management is one of our core services. We manage diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, thyroid disorders, and other ongoing conditions.
Do you do in-office procedures?
Yes. EKGs, minor skin procedures, joint and trigger-point injections, and other procedures are done in our exam rooms. See the In-Office Procedures service page for details.
Patient Portal & After Hours
How do I refill a prescription?
The fastest way is through the Patient Portal — log in and send a refill request directly to your provider. You can also call the clinic where you are established during business hours.
How do I get my lab results?
Lab results are released to you through the Patient Portal as soon as your provider has reviewed them. You will get a portal notification when results are ready.
What is your after-hours number?
For non-emergency questions about an existing condition outside of office hours, established CovenantCare patients can reach our on-call provider at (931) 245-0604. A provider is on call 24 hours a day. For medical emergencies, call 911. See the After Hours page for guidance on when to use the on-call line.
Do I need to be an existing patient to use the patient portal?
Yes. The Patient Portal is for established patients with existing accounts. New patients receive portal access at their first visit — see the New Patient page for what to expect.
About the Practice & Your Visit
Will I see the same provider each visit?
We aim to schedule you with your established provider whenever possible, and that is what most patients experience. Healthcare staffing turnover is a reality across the industry, so we cannot promise the same individual provider every visit. What we can promise is one chart — your full history, labs, medications, and notes all in one place, so any provider you see in our practice picks up where the last one left off. That practice-level continuity is the work of family medicine. See our About page for the principles behind how we practice.
Is CovenantCare locally owned?
Yes. CovenantCare Practices is independent and locally owned — decisions are made here in Clarksville, Tennessee, not at a corporate office in another state. The practice was founded by Dr. David L. Boles in 2001 and has been owned by Dr. Robert A. Wilson since 2018. See our About page for more on the practice’s history.
What should I bring to my first visit?
A current photo ID, your insurance card, a list of all medications you take (including dosages), any recent medical records or imaging if you have them, and a list of questions you would like to discuss. See the New Patient page for the full guide.
Don’t see your question? Call us at any of the three clinics during business hours, or reach us via the Patient Portal if you are an established patient.
